Equipment selection

Choose the feed route before the equipment list.

The main difference is where preparation begins. Whole bananas need fruit handling and peeling; purchased flesh starts with ingredient acceptance and feeding. Both routes connect to the required puree process.

Whole-fruit route

Allow for reception, ripeness inspection, washing, peeling and separate peel waste. Assess the actual fruit presentation and the labour or assisted preparation scope. The useful output is accepted flesh at the collection point.

Purchased-flesh route

Define ingredient packaging, lot acceptance, storage history and temperature. Packaging removal and controlled feeding remain necessary. Washing and peeling should not be supplied simply because they appear in a general banana-line diagram.

The shared core

Both routes need a defined feed to pulping and the selected refining duty. Agree the texture reference and connect viscous transfer to the downstream requirement. Preparation choices do not establish preservation or the final package.

Compare the project boundaries

Consider who supplies and accepts the ingredient, who handles preparation waste and where product responsibility changes. Provide the operating schedule and utility conditions for each proposed route. An equipment comparison is useful only when its boundaries match.
